Three days left on the "Networking for System Administrators" #kickstarter. Every #sysadmin should know what's in this book.

Last chance to get the special edition, yes, but also the first chance to get the ebook or paperback!

I would appreciate your support.

An author of systemd erotica is found stabbed in the neck with a corkscrew. Suspicion falls on Burwood Mantle’s ordinand, deeply concerned that the resurgence of vinyl LPs might threaten the closure of Midsomer’s borders.

Judging from the last few days of vitriolic comments and messages, it seems that me referring to Israel's occupation and blockade of Gaza as "genocide" is quite controversial and I've even been accused of antisemitism. So let me explain myself: 🧵

I didn't just decide this based on my own feelings.

Such a pretty view of the Salt Lake valley on my way home this evening. I’m so lucky to live here!

Occasional reminder that there’s no, “it’s too late, its over” for anthropogenic climate change. Every molecule of CO2 that doesn’t go into the atmosphere makes a difference. Preventing 0.1 degree of warming makes a difference. Every bit of climate resilience we build together makes a difference.

Just got reminded of this week in 2017 when I had my rack delivered. 😂

“Look what got delivered on Thursday! Now I just need to take it apart to get all 300lb down to my basement. Oops!”

I just learned about the Linux tool "powerprofilesctl launch" which runs a command and pins the power profile to 'performance' while it's running (by default - you can also tell it to pin the power-saving profile).

It is worth learning indigenous and endangered languages, even if they aren’t “useful.” We don’t make art because it’s “useful.” We don’t meet a friend for coffee because it’s “useful.” We do these things because they enrich our lives.

This is what worries me about all this assisted dying business. Once you open that door you raise the question of who else it is permissable for the state to kill and the answer is likely to be disabled people, especially multiply marginalised disabled people.

DEBUG ((DEBUG_ERROR,
"Cannot set CustomMode to
STANDARD_SECURE_BOOT_MODE\n"
"Please do it manually, otherwise system can be easily

Shouldn't messages like these be shown in EDK2 Release builds? Normally they're not due to MDEPKG_NDEBUG, debug mask and logging filter levels.

I used to read His Dark Materials trilogy over and over again as a kid. Haven't read it in ~20 years, but my wife asked what books I loved reading as a kid, which inspired us to both read it. WOW it really holds up. I loved rereading The Golden Compass. Very excited to read The Subtle Knife next.

Just submitted 7 PRs against EDK2 (and I have a few more to submit tomorrow)!

It’s good to finally get stuff submitted after working through it all for the last few weeks.

Each new report on the so-called DOGE confirms that it’s not an advisory committee as initially claimed, but a full-size federal Department that will demand tens of millions in congressional funding even as it evades FOIA requests or any transparency. It is, in short...100% illegal and illegitimate.

Thinking the Python coding style should override any project specific coding style when most of the code in the repo is C.

Personally I don't really like seeing Python code formatted according to the TianoCore EDK2 coding style.
