👋🏼 About me!

I'm an anthropologist who studies babies, and how their behavior and physiology is shaped by the unique way that we feed our babies as mammals: lactation.

I am really enjoying having the Eastern Bluebirds here for the winter. They seem to be very social and full of personality. It's a shame they are not here year-round.

Men aren’t born with a propensity to commit acts of sexual violence. It is socialized behavior, often learned through abuse itself. Take fraternities and hazing as one example. The slightly older students beat the younger ones and the cycle continues year after year. Sports teams, armies, the same.

The Epstein case reflects systemic issues within the American elite. Despite clear evidence, the perpetrators will probably never be charged. They engage in exploitative practices without consequence. The American oligarchy has amassed its wealth through parasitism

I knew he’d eventually start talking about arresting Obama. I’m surprised it took this long. He is obsessed with Obama, always has been. He haaaates how popular he is, and how much smarter and cooler and fitter he is than Trump. And he is jealous of his Nobel Peace Prize.
This is a form of sickness.

Minnesota physicians have been reporting *several* cases where pts presented with injuries inconsistent with ICE’s claimed cause. They also report pts afraid to tell the truth about their injuries, and agents intimidating staff refusing to leave pts room even when pt is receiving an exam or bath.
"Four hours after his arrest, he was taken to a hospital emergency room in Edina with swelling and bruising around his right eye and bleeding. A CT scan revealed at least eight skull fractures and life-threatening hemorrhages in at least five areas of his brain..."

My mom friends keep asking me what to do. Attachment parenting is one of the most anti-fascist things you can do. The Nazis invented sleep training and low-contact parenting *for a reason*.

This Eastern Bluebird seemed to want company, which I was more than happy to give. He had mealworms while I sipped my coffee, just feet apart.

"Whose lab are you in?"
"My lab."
"Yes, but whose?"
"The Hebert Lab, it's me, it's mine."
"But under who?"

Also: "Scientists are usually so serious, you're good at funny, too!" What a weird generalization we're still fighting. Quick backstage shot being shiny and myself. #WIS

A lot of formulas have extra ingredients that I call “flavor crystals“—ingredients that are synthesized versions of human milk components, but in the context of formula are not proven to be of any benefit. But what’s the harm in buying these products anyway?

This 👇 is what.

I think this is a genius idea. If you know university professors with the right specializations, they could be eligible to nominate. Encourage them to do so.

This was @apnews.com. They would have clearly identified themselves. There’s no way they would be mistaken for protesters.
We’re just not a free country.

Any American watching this play out between regime forces and journalists overseas would recognize it for what it is.

This is all stupid bullshit but I remain pretty disgusted at how things like marriage and having children are treated like Xbox achievements instead of actually loving and caring for someone else. Yeah I’m going to work 70 hours a week but definitely need a spouse, her name is Beth or something idk
