Delivered a beautiful baby so far this Xmas Eve. I wonder if there might be another before my shift ends at 8 AM! Never love missing the holidays with my family, but can’t complain when its to welcome new life and do my dream job.

If you take the Lord of the Rings as one movie, which you should, I think it stands up as the greatest movie ever made. No time for questions, I'm going on an adventure!

something that has brought me a great deal of peace in my life is my belief that it is not nor will it ever be my problem what my hair looks like from the back. that’s not part of my reality. it can’t affect me.

I really appreciated this thoughtful piece which explains some of the willful misinformation coming from the US govt about scientific research.
Pregnancy is not a rare condition—millions of people get pregnant each year—yet those who experience it are frequently told that there’s not enough research to guarantee that a medicine is safe. Isn’t there a better way?
Why We Know So Little About Medicines During Pregnancy
Trump’s attacks on Tylenol come after decades in which many women were excluded from medical studies, which has created uncertainty about which drugs are safe.

Hey a thing I really don’t want to get lost here is that while Tylenol doesn’t cause autism, IT’S FINE TO BE AUTISTIC. Let’s not grant them the premise that autism should be eradicated in our way to correct the science, okay? Okay.

Y’all have covered everything else… I’m interested to know the parts of what he said you agreed with?
I don't think it's simpering praise. He was an interesting man. I didn't agree with much that he said, but he was interesting and he was growing, and his death is a significant loss for those who believe engagement can help bridge disagreements.
there's a weird feedback loop where the media's reaction to kirk's death pushes you to speak more ill of the dead than you otherwise would because it's the only reasonable response to the simpering praise they're heaping on him

if someone quotes Leviticus saying gay people should be stoned to death, and calls that "God's perfect law," it's accurate to say they called for gay people to be stoned to death. Likewise, it's inaccurate to say they never called for it. bc I can parse language and understand how humans communicate

I spent years spouting conspiracy theories about vaccines. Now, as measles rages in my home of Alberta, I’m trying to convince vax-hesitant parents to inoculate their kids.

THE PRINCESS BRIDE.
in your opinion, completely subjective, no metrics and no judgment, what are the best written movies of all time? I don't care if you have never seen a screenplay in your life, just which story itself is the most moving and complete and perfect to you?

My SIL maybe misread a blog, maybe just wanted us to exercise on our vacation, but I’m “27,000 steps and 250 flights of stairs in One Day” kind of tired after Montserrat. But worth it for the views.
