Some players seemed to want a proper UI button for pausing the game instead of just pressing escape. I tried a classic hamburger button, but it stood out like a sore thumb. So I added this little bookmark and sliding menu instead, and I really love how it looks! Works by pressing escape too!

Finally took the time to setup a pre-push hook that runs all my GUT unit tests. Also added tests that validate all my dialog files. Feels so goooood to see the little '✅' whenever I push 🙌

I’m unsure how I feel about having characters in a game tell me how to play in terms of keyboard buttons and stuff. It’s a bit of an immersion break, but it’s also cool to have the game explained by a character rather than a popup hmm..

Saw an interesting reddit post from someone who made a free game with paid dlc. It’s basically the same as a demo that’s the first part of a game, if progress is transferred over between the demo and the full game (like it is for Stig). But saying the game is free might attract more players?
