I sometimes make art, weird software, music and games.

A few of the prototypes and concepts even used the name “trails”, the registered trade mark here is a surprise 😅
If interested I could try to find some later

I’ve not read anything beyond the embed but this looks a lot like TreeStyleTabs, and more recently Sideberry, both very customizable firefox extensions I’ve used.

There are also interesting prototypes and small personal projects here and there that are similar.

For me time frequently goes by while lost in thought, “mindlessly” sketching, on my phone, etc. … but it’s not quite “skips”, maybe I don’t experience those. But it is a little jarring to realize how much time passed either way

I see now it was already shared, but seeing Maple Mono actually used on entire websites and such, together with certain softer color schemes feels so nice and different, it brings me joy. Now quite interested in seeing more rounded mono fonts.

There’s a free game I spent some of the last 3 years making, the developer of Öoo liked it and it is similarly long. It starts out pretty Sokoban-y but has a bunch of surprises. It’s called “nuworm” on itch io… I’m now curious if Puzzlescript games play nice on Steamdeck ^^

What if saving and loading and manipulating the “project of projects” (or perhaps the in-app window manager state if you will) is also desirable 👀

Immediately editable ones, that is. It’s fascinating but also should have been obvious, now I wonder why I have not seen it before :)

In the context of a typical whiteboard or infinite canvas application (I guess PureRef feels related) the artboards themselves exist in the layers panel or something like that? Cool idea, never seen this with raster images ever

Some puzzle games I’m really looking forward to that are not in most anticipated (at least not this year):
Unoxi by @bonpsi.bsky.social, Outpour by @drooshayne.bsky.social and Tome Tumble Tournament by @terzalo.com … all of these these have game mechanics that feel so tactile to me…

nuworm is nominated for best free game!! All other games in the category I either really like, or still have to check out 👀

yes! lovely example ^^
(and wow, I hope bsky can do a better job in the future haha)

Did you increase the resolution, so that each pixel is, say, 8x8 pixels big? Well, maybe you already did and it is somehow still this blurry!

hahaha yes, it’s nice when that work is noticed (besides the direct anti cheese purpose it has of course) …thank you!!

Thank you so much!

Missed it live but this was fun to watch, you explain so clearly as you think through the puzzles!

If you do, feel free to let me know? Would be fun to see!

thank you for making PuzzleScript! what a wonderful way to get into making these kinds of games 9+ years ago, still using it for this one :) …I would love to see more tools like it or make my own

I'd love to put a hint system in a game like this, but it'd be quite difficult to do with the tools I used (PuzzleScript). It is a tricky game! To anyone stuck but wanting to maybe see more of it, you can skip around the level list or perhaps DM me for a hint!

Here's the first level. It's a block pushing game like Sokoban, perhaps ultimately inspired by titles like Stephen's Sausage Roll and Snakebird... and through development, also Can of Wormholes and Öoo. These are some of my favorite games! 💚

I've barely posted on this kind of social media anywhere but I have a reason to now. I made a game!!

It's called nuworm and you can play it for free in the browser.
I worked on it over three years, it might take you three hours to experience. cubestudio.itch.io/nuworm

Haha nice… wonder if they tell people to listen separately, with a long pause in between. At which point only those with perfect pitch could even feel a difference that isn’t neutral/ arbitrary to them?
October 27, 2025 at 2:16 PM
Surprised how different compared to how it’s been for the longest time, I was almost shocked how nice that is!
September 17, 2025 at 10:09 PM
it’s not that complex of an idea but I struggled to word it as a post - I’m quite sure this is exactly it!

happy to see these again, the red pixels were ones that changed color in that turn?

a while ago I tried splitting that color into two colors/ parities (either for pixels changed to white/ to black) which alternates every frame, so the result is still stable. not sure if helpful, but was pretty :)
