I keep a list of easy wins for this purpose. Also works on other days of the week!
Unsolicited Monday game dev advice:

When getting started for the week, try to find easy wins. Fix small bugs or add little bits of polish.

This helps get back into the groove and gain momentum for bigger stuff later in the week.

That's it! Hope you're having fun with your game 🛠️

This is also good advice! Leaving a lil' something unfinished (but easily finishable) for the next day makes it very clear what to do when you get back into it.
Corollary advice: always finish the day leaving one obvious bug that you can start the next day wtih fixing. That allows you to get into the groove of making things much smoother than the cliff of having to build something new and large right off the bat.

Cool thread on finding your creative path ⬇️
I was talking to a younger local artist who's having trouble figuring out specifically what he wants to do, and you know, it got me thinking about what a dadgummed boon it is to have a very specific lane down which you intend to travel. 1/

Nobody ever tells us, but this is like 99% of game programming:
Just did hours of boring but necessary code. The game doesn't look any different yet! But it will tomorrow.
