Today CBP officers executed Alex Jeffrey Pretti, a 37 year old nurse who worked at the VA. He was an observer, he was restrained and he was on the ground.
The Star Tribune reports that federal agents "attempted to order local police from the scene" where a man was shot and killed by feds this morning, but Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara refused and "instructed his officers to preserve the scene."
Live: Man shot and killed by federal agents in south Minneapolis this morning, police chief says
A video appears to shows federal agents wrestling a man to the ground then shooting him.

As ICE killed a record number of people in 2025, a shocking 75 Democrats called for even MORE ICE enforcement in local communities.

Is your member on this list?

I name names, share a script to use when calling them, and share the names of those ICE killed.

Important context here: when Peter Thiel and David Sacks began their war on diversity as undergrads at Stanford, thirty years ago, the very first tactic they adopted was to normalize slurs that had already been stigmatized out of mainstream society. This return of these hateful terms was a key goal.
“It turns out that banishing the slur from public discourse was, in fact, important. Because now it’s back and it turns out that it does matter when subtext becomes actual text, when terrible people enable open hatred and bigotry, encouraging others to emulate them, degrading us all.”
Perry: The return of the r-word
"These days, the r-word slur has become a staple of the American right wing, uttered with few professional or social consequences," David M. Perry writes.

Donald Trump shut down the government because he doesn't want you to have healthcare.

But this isn’t just on him. Democrats MUST use their leverage to protect our rights, but it can’t end there.

Schumer and Jeffries can’t just go on TV or write letters, they need clear demands. We need action now.

new from @kylietcheung.bsky.social in @teenvogue.com: recently, men have impersonated plainclothes ICE agents to assault women—only possible, she argues, because state agents commit violence with impunity.

"To be clear, men wouldn’t be posing as ICE agents and assaulting women if ICE didn’t exist."
How ICE Raids Are Making It Easier for Civilian Men to Assault Immigrant Women
"This phenomenon is only possible because of the outsized power that state agents have always had to abuse and control women and victims' bodies," argues Kylie Cheung.

By quickly pushing people to believe that the elderly, disabled, poor, and others were a necessary sacrifice, the ruling class and corporations primed the public for more fascist incursions. They observed how many give in to destroying one another and themselves.

wait, I love this article. I relate to it immensely.. I miss geocities and ~surfing~ the web. nowadays it's straight to the product or whatever. some brands don't even have an about us page (highly suspect to me).. anyways I could go on, but agreed, make your own website. it's cool and freeing!
I don’t even think those projects and pages are particularly worth preserving - but to me, maintaining stuff is just another way to stick it to the man.

In conclusion, listen to Gita Jackson: Make Your Own Website!

i know some cis folks on here are at least kinda aware it’s bad right now for trans people in america, but sometimes it’s worth calling y’all back to 2016 when a single “transsexuals have to use the wrong bathrooms” bill cost north carolina the nba all-star game & $400 million.

this is normal now.
NEW - Texas Rep. Tom Oliverson has filed HB 3817, which would make it fraud to identify as a gender different from the one assigned at birth.

While it stands little chance of passing, it fits into a wider narrative that casts being trans as deceptive and fraudulent:
