As Richard Tice says, Reform have identified £300m of savings from councils they run. This remarkable feat has been achieved by plucking that figure out of thin air while increasing council tax by 5%.

There were 93 homicides in London last year: population 9 million

In New York - population 8.5 million - there were
391.

London's homicide figure is 6 times lower than LA, 9 times lower than Miami, 17 times lower than Chicago.

And it's falling year on year despite the population increasing

They want to take away our BBC.

They want to take away our NHS.

They want to take away our human rights.

They want to take away everything we have that makes life worth living.

All for their own greedy enrichment.

The f***ing far right, led by Trump and Farage, Badenoch and the rest.

'Reeves had been expected to raise income tax by up to 2p, potentially alongside a one-year extension of the freeze in thresholds.'
'Had been expected' - so, not a u-turn then?

If only they put this much effort into job hunting.
Norfolk Police has had a regular presence at the Brook Hotel in Bowthorpe, Norwich since the summer – used to house migrants

That’s numerous police officers that can’t protect neighbourhoods, high streets, investigate crimes, hunt criminals etc because they’re tied up by flag shagging morons❗️ 🤷🏼‍♂️
Asylum hotel protests are drain on police, warns Norfolk chief - BBC News
Chief Constable Paul Sanford says he cannot "crack down" on crime with police presence at hotel.

Shouting at the radio now.

The current caller is saying Labour are u-turning on everything in their manifesto.

That is categorically NOT true.

Please call people out when they claim this.

@mrjamesob.bsky.social that mean you too.

At least make people tell you what in the manifesto they mean.

Hopefully, the media will take a leaf out of the PM's book and not interfere with our democracy.
"Robbie Gibb should have no role in appointing the next Director General, and given the Royal Charter gives the government the power to remove him will the Prime Minister sack him now?" asks Ed Davey.

Starmer says he won't interfere in running the BBC

On a more serious note: British politics have been in crisis mode for ten years and this is a real problem whatever your politics. It undermines trust in government and democracy, fuels populism, and makes the UK an unstable partner at a time when the geopolitical situation is very dangerous.
The important story behind this story is that someone in Downing Street is having a breakdown:
November 12, 2025 at 12:36 PM
Impressive yes!
Oddly enough despite the ‘toxicity’ alleged in Downing Street, Labour continue to deliver time and again every single day. These 11 are all announcements from this week.

Impressive no?
November 12, 2025 at 9:33 PM
And now the story has legs, the same media are running with it as if it is a fact. No testing the validity. No searching for the antecedents. Juat sensationalism to undermine the government and our democracy.
So this is interesting from Robert Peston.

The claims of people inside No 10 briefing the press about the PM fighting for his leadership appear to be wrong.

As I speculated this morning, it appears to have been nothing more but a response to a question from a journalist!

The right-wing media have persuaded people that the dire state the country is in after 14 years of chaos can be fixed overnight. The drive-thru myth that this government could get it done as quickly as a fast-food meal is just that, a myth.
I cannot fathom how any one person would prefer Farage and his incompetents over Starmer and his very competent government.

They have met, or are on course to meet, 58 of their Manifesto commitments.

And they’re only 16 months into their term.

This is big @warrenoates1.bsky.social and we're it not for your post, I would have had no idea. The US have killed a Trinidad Ian citizen who as yet has not been proven to be a drugs smuggler.
The UK is no longer sharing intelligence with the US about suspected drug trafficking vessels in the Caribbean.

This doesn't seem to be getting much attention in the UK, but it is big.

The UK doesn't want to get involved in the US's indiscriminate killing when they go after these boats.

Crisis in Reform run Kent County Council

The PM was asked about this at PMQs today.

He did not shy away from calling out Reform, reminding us Kent was supposed to be the Reform blueprint for how they'd run the country.

But all Reform have to offer is grievance, division and incompetence!

This is so on point. Any expression of discord - no scratch that! Anything other than. sychophantic adoration for the leader of the "Free World" would most definitely lead to detention at point of entry. Their tourism trade must be suffering as folk calculate it's not worth it.
Pretty sure if I attempted to go to the US my skeets here on BlueSky would mean my being denied entry.

👇 This.
The government cannot be everywhere at all times.
Can the people STILL shouting 'complicit in genocide' at the UK government just stop for a moment, take a step back & look at what is really happening.

There are multiple conflicts and crises around the world & Labour are doing a lot within their limited power to help people around the world.

Lord Edmiston said in Australia he could get a doctor’s appointment “like that”, followed by a blood test & a hospital appntmnt.

It's sad that the non-Reform voters of Kent are suffering from their ineptitude. They didn't seize power, they were elected by people whose hatred for "others" means more to them than an effective and functioning council.
So funny Reform promised to get a grip on Kent County Council spending & find savings, they had their crap (oops crack) DOGE team in

Instead they’re currently 3% (£46 mill) over budget & asked the opposition to help them 🙄

Not funny is adult social care will be hit because of their clown act❗️🤡🤡

While mistakes have been made, it is always worth protecting the principle of a BBC free from political interference.
