We're keeping a close eye on the score, and two weeks later, it's still 38-0.

All 38 Alberta New Democrat MLAs have made that pledge to our constituents. Why is it so hard for the UCP to say the same?

Call your UCP MLA and tell them to make the pledge.

The stance that bad people make bad art is really just going to hurt you when inevitably, if you like ANY art at all, you’re gonn run into someone who’s great at it who sucks

Acknowledging bad people can make good art is vital to accepting when someone tells you an artist you like has done wrong
one thing that would be cool, when prominent creators turn out to be terrible people, would be if we didn't have to go through this performative dance of insisting that their work was never good in the first place.

worth noting that the second rich people stopped being afraid of mobs tearing them limb from limb, they stopped building libraries and opera houses and stuff and started ripping the copper wiring out of the walls of society instead

Now you too can play a slowed down version of a game from 20 years ago with no actual level design or enemies and all it costs is a complete collapse of the world economy, biosphere, education system, and multiple entire creative industries.
Project Genie is an an experimental research prototype that Google gave @jaypeters.net access to this week, though he may not be using it in exactly the way Google intended.

Here's Jay's version of something like Super Mario 64:

Now ICE officers will no longer need to steady their own phones as they record themselves shooting mothers in the face before saying, "fucking bitch."
Congrats to Hakeem Jeffries. He’s worked so hard for this victory.

Therefore: the stock traders are your customers. The people who actually make things with Animate, they're just *users*, and maybe they'll grump and grumble but in the end they'll just switch to After Effects, so it really doesn't matter what they think...

Called and spoke with Adobe customer support and the guy told me Adobe is discontinuing Animate because apparently the company can't think of any new features to add to the program and they feel it's gotten stale.

So they're just GETTING RID OF IT???

Tried to contact them, but they only hold business hours. Unfortunately I have a google pixel, which whitens/lightens all my photos
