You know you're Canadian when you've been kicked out of at least one bar for standing on the chair and leading the crowd in a great anthem about stealing yankee gold.
With deep apologies to that nice little club in Jasper.

Somebody just posted this "because Canada"

I'm posting this because it's the best example of the purity of music. A bunch of folks sitting in a kitchen, no instruments, just singing.

No corporate execs, no AI, no agenda. Just pure human spirit.

A surprisingly dark read about Elon Musk's Canadian grandfather.
"An examination of Joshua Haldeman’s writings reveals a radical conspiracy theorist who expressed racist, anti-Semitic, and antidemocratic views repeatedly, and over the course of decades"

Elon Musk’s Anti-Semitic, Apartheid-Loving Grandfather
The billionaire has described his grandfather as a risk-taking adventurer. A closer read of history reveals something much darker.

90% of people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer die from the disease. That's why the medical community is excited about the results of a small trial in which nearly half of the pancreatic cancer patients who received an mRNA vaccine for the disease remained relapse-free three years later.

This is horrible to post, but I may as well post it. We are essentially shutting down research operations in my group, which is focused on treatments for pediatric brain cancer. I’m a well funded investigator, and there’s no choice. Science can’t function without the stability of NIH

I read an awesome article by Sapiens recently that showed how matriarchal communities had better quality of life for all society members vs patriarchal communities where men have the same quality of life but the women and children had a significantly lower quality. Empowering women empowers all!

Only like two people will care, if any, I diagnosed Isaac’s Syndrome in a new patient. It was missed for sometime and the patient was led to believe there was nothing wrong for years.

But there’s only several hundred cases known worldwide so it’s no wonder.

As a proud Canadian-owned and operated company, we want to do our part to support Canadians. As a family we have decided to absorb all immediate increases in our costs due to the Trump-tariffs for the rest of the year to maintain our prices. We will continue to reinforce our Canadian-first policies.

May you live in uninteresting times. Like, the most super boring, mundane, watching beige-colored paint drying, mind-numbingly average times. Times that imprint no memory, leave no trace. Skull-fuckingly drab and stale, like watching curling. I want the curling of times.

One of the biggest unsung discoveries of 2020 is that we've been doing disease prevention wrong for a century. Respiratory viruses are primarily airborne rather than surface-spread - so of you want to avoid flu, covid, and the rest of the gang mask up and plug in air purifiers!
Hand washing is so important to prevent the spread of flu. Wash thoroughly, often, and especially before you put things in your mouth/rub your eyes.
Multiple doc friends are saying: influenza A cases are both higher than usual and they're seeing worse cases than usual.

Wear a mask in public! If you haven't been for awhile, it's time.
