One of the things that needs to become clear in 2026 is that big changes are possible if you pitch them. Talk positively. Explain the pros and cons like an adult. Be enthusiastic. Repeat the idea. Answer questions about it. Sell the notion that we can make things better. People want to buy in.

literally fuck anyone who doesn’t see at this point that it’s an organized nationwide effort to make trans people unemployable.

every trans person they push out of public life is a win for them & a whole hell of a lot of cis people need to start stepping up and saying fuck off to freaks like this.

Not specific to this clip: If you're filming, periodically adjust position & get close-ups of faces, shoes, hands, gloves & tattoos. Make sure to film the agents milling in the background or in vehicles. If the situation warrants it, keeping quiet allows you to clearly record their voices as well.

Exactly this: the administration’s concentration camps should be a howling, daily outrage, a scandal of historic proportions.
Bari’s complaint was “there’s nothing new here” and while that’s untrue it’s also irrelevant

“we intentionally sent people to be tortured in a hellhole and bragged about it and The Hague is too good for everyone involved” is a story that simply cannot be told enough

But they think it’s ok to kill actual journalism ?

CFPB is the 21st century version of the Freedman's Bureau. Great idea destroyed by bad faith judges and legislators.

And its authority to regulate non-bank lenders is gonna be sorely missed in the next few years.

I keep saying this but no one is connecting the dots. The war is to satisfy legal preconditions for mass removal *domestically* of Latinos (i.e., suddenly a lot of people are going to be “Venezuelan” for purposes of removal). This is 100% Stephen Miller…oil claim is to make grandpa go along
There is no national security logic that would impel the US to want to do regime change in Venezuela. It's simply not that important. I'm not even sure wag the dog is the right metaphor for what's happening here. Seems like an insane misallocation of US national security assets and attention.
Trump: "Venezuela is completely surrounded by the largest Armada ever assembled ... It will only get bigger, and the shock to them will be like nothing they have ever seen before — Until such time as they return to the USA all of the Oil, Land, and other Assets that they previously stole from us."

I wonder where they will imprison citizens for months in their dungeon mazes when they inevitably find it necessary to the integrity of their investigations.
Nice and vague. I wonder how many people will be investigated. I wonder how much it will cost.
The Trump administration is trying to root out what it sees as rampant left-wing domestic terrorism, raising concerns among security experts and lawmakers that broad categories of Americans’ speech could come under surveillance.

The name "Popular Science" doesn't mean we shift our coverage depending on public opinion. It means we cover relevant subjects that are rigorously researched, reliable, and grounded in reality.

And trans lives are grounded in reality.
