“Vote blue no matter who and also shut the fuck up when those people betray you.”
Nope.
We will primary every senator who doesn’t call for Schumer to step down in the next 24 hours.
You work for us.

The sooner we get past internal recriminations and back to fighting united, the better off we all are — the likelier our victory next November.

The President wouldn't last five minutes as an air traffic controller, and after everything they've been through - and the way this administration has treated them from Day One - he has no business shitting on them now.

Left is the MLB press release that just went out, right is the conclusion of my column last night. I think we've got pretty strong evidence that having these markets open at all is asking for trouble, but it's a step in the right direction.

This deal to reopen the government is fucking disgraceful.
Tens of millions will lose their healthcare. Trump will be emboldened.
This is exactly what’s wrong with Democratic Party leadership and why we need more people in Congress who will actually hold the line.

It is extremely disappointing that as the city of Chicago mans street corners with whistles to try and keep our neighbors safe Democrats in the Senate are voluntarily conceding a fight they were winning.

Retire, bitch.
Democrats have been fighting for months to address America's healthcare crisis
For the millions who will lose coverage
For people with cancer who won't get the care they need
For working families who can't afford to pay $25K more a year for healthcare
We will keep fighting

It would be extremely funny that the Democrats have managed to lose both Chris Cillizza and Matt Yglesias if the stakes weren't so fucking high.

Any Democrat who voted to end the shutdown for this package needs to be primaried. Worthless cowards with no understanding of the moment.

i think this is key. taking the deal would amount to taking the blame. it would turn a clear political victory into an unambiguous defeat.
If the Dems blink after all of this, for a deal that all but ensures no ACA subsidies in 2026 anyway, then what was the purpose of letting the shutdown go for 40 days in the first place?

Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

This is bonkers. Terrible policy, bad optics. A real lose-lose situation for the brain trust that is the Democratic leadership.

That involves sending federal money into FSAs instead of insurance companies" www.wsj.com/politics/pol...
