I’m already seeing people insist that even with this capitulation the Democrats will still sweep 2026 because Trump is that bad. It was precisely that attitude that gave us 2024.

I know the senate whip is not that strong, but it seems wild that there are 8 dem votes *and* leadership is a no *and* the politics have been playing very well for dems in the past week (GOP in hot water; big sweeps for dems in elections)
