Will UK Chancellor redistribute?

End two-child benefit cap, cost £3bn-£3.6bn.
Abolish VAT on domestic fuel, cost £2.5bn.
Increase income tax personal allowance by £1000, cost £8.4bn.

Taxing capital gains at same rate as wages, generates £14bn+ more in NIC.

Another world is possible.
This is how Rachel Reeves could deliver a progressive budget
The chancellor has an opportunity to boost the public purpose and deliver redistribution

I take on average 10,000 stills and a half hour of video every week. Most I'll never think about again. This I'll hold onto until I grow old. 4 hours ago.

Zero edits. No recoloring. No cropping. Nothing. Just straight up reality. 🦑

Alaska Natives, whose needs that are driven by climate change have never been addressed to the extent necessary, have now been fully abandoned by our government.
Alaska Native villages have few options and little US help as climate change devours their land
Storms that battered Alaska’s western coast this fall have brought renewed attention to low-lying Indigenous villages left increasingly vulnerable by climate change.

Having Energy sold at cost would save the UK £1,000 per household and be a massive boon to the economy.

Instead you pay £30bn extra which goes almost entirely to people who don't live, pay tax or spend money in the UK.

So, to recap, Ukraine and Europe understand that America has effectively endorsed a 28-point plan to force Kyiv to capitulate, set a Thursday deadline to accept it, and threatened to cut off all aid.

Now Marco Rubio says it's all wrong, that's not the plan, there's no deadline and no threat.

screenshot of headline reading, "in reversal, Coast Guard again classifies swastikas, nooses as hate symbols" Subhed: The new order came after The Post reported the service would instead classify such symbols as "potentially divisive" under guidelines set for release next month.
Behind this important reversal is a member of the Coast Guard who saw what was happening and had the courage to leak it to the press. That person deserves serious praise.

GenAI has polluted image search results, especially for animal pics. It’s now basically impossible to find accurate art references.

Enter this: a repository of open-access, AI-free images of wild & exotic taxa. Artists creating *without AI* have blanket permission for derivative/transformative use.

Of course, there are still good reasons not to use the features, like not melting the icecaps, not giving Sam Altman any more money, and maybe not having your PC fill up your hard drive with screenshots of everything you’ve ever done.
Much more likely, like I said at the beginning, they’re just going to hoover up all the words in your email account or on your computer and dump everything into the training meat grinder, even if you never turn on or use the ‘AI features’.
