Cyrus II, the founder of the Achaemenids (the first Persian Empire) gets *really good* press in Jewish scripture, because he allowed the exiles to return and rebuild the temple; they benefited from Achaemenid tolerance.
Only in the Middle East are relatively comprehensible modern conflicts rooted in the balance of power of nation-states reduced to quasi-mystical "ancient hatreds."

De har forsøkt mange strategier, krig var siste utvei da det viste seg at Ukraina ikke ville underkaste seg som satellittstat.
Ikke enig m AM i absolutt alt, men meget godt påpekt hvordan Diesens utsagn om at han og alle andre rasjonelle aktører innså at Natos politikk gjorde russiske represalier uunngåelig, står vi i skjærende kontrast til hans skriverier i januar 2022 da han latterliggjorde advarslene om russisk invasjon.

Vi burde gjøre langt flere forsøk, finne ut av om det funker eller ei, og bruke det til å styre samfunnet.
I dag er det et problem at vi skal være for sikre før vi iverksetter noe. Og vi har altfor lett å kritisere forsøk som går feil.
