What to Do if ICE Comes to Your Church
“How do we ensure that our people know exactly what to do if law enforcement or a government official were to come to our building, particularly during open hours?” Rev. Minna Bothwell said.

Can I just collectively nominate every hymn they've ever done in the 9 Lessons and Carols from King's College every year??

Okay, but seriously, favorite Christian carol: The Holly and the Ivy

Favorite secular song: I'll Be Home for Christmas

(Runner up for both categories: Good King Wenceslas)
What is your favorite "Christian" Christmas song and what is your favorite "Secular" Christmas song?

I will probably always adore "O Come All Ye Faithful" and "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" for Christian.

And "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" for secular.

Really a wonderful list of ways to organize. Observing and potentially disrupting ICE’s activity is of course a visible and essential tactic right now, and there are a lot of other tactics as well! Many described here.

Starbucks employees in Minneapolis, and across the country, are striking for

✅ Fair wages
✅ Proper staffing
✅ End to union busting

I'm proud to stand in solidarity with @sbworkersunited.org until they get the fair contract they deserve! 💪🏽
#NoContractNoCoffee
As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history.

Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX

Really thankful for the campaign Fateh ran, and even though I'm frustrated (to put it mildly) about another 4 years of Frey, I know the energy and strength of this campaign is going to matter moving forward.
Thank you, Minneapolis!

While this wasn’t the outcome we wanted, I am incredibly grateful to every single person who supported our grassroots campaign.

I’ll keep fighting alongside you to build the city we deserve. Onward.

Heading to bed, hoping for some good news for the #dontrankFrey crowd in the morning 🤞
Because Frey didn't get more than 50% of the first round votes, no winner was declared yet and won't be until tomorrow at the earliest.

wait, are you telling me that all the centrist pundits who insisted that Dems wouldn't win any future elections unless/until they threw trans people under the bus turned out to be wrong? how could this be?!? 😱

he won on the back of a pro-migrant, pro-trans, pro-working class campaign. and also: Dem pundits are full of shit

Went to whistle distro /mini-training event in Powderhorn Park today. There were 200-300 people, very inspiring to see community come out and be ready to fight.
Big love to folx in Chicago for the inspiration.

I know not everyone is who they thought they would be under a fascist, authoritarian regime. That's okay. But it's time to do more than react and post about it. It's time to get organized—including mapping or creating lines of support and defense in your community.
