Remember how a couple of months ago we warned you that Pete Hegseth’s drinking could cause a national security breach?

The CIA Director testified today that he is not sure a reporter was on the unclassified national security group chat that recklessly disclosed military plans in Yemen.

The whole world is aware of who was part of Signalgate.

These people cannot be trusted with America’s national security.

Thom Tillis casting the deciding vote to confirm Hegseth, and his shameful silence yesterday, should be a major issue in the 2026 NC Senate race.

One thing that can get lost in all this is that Jeff Goldberg knows much, much more about national security than the principals who were on that text chain.

A department-wide email went out last week warning everyone in the DOD that a vulnerability was detected in the Signal messaging app, which Hegseth, along with several other administration officials, including JD Vance, used to discuss bombing Houthi targets in Yemen.

The Trump administration is now ordering massive cuts to the Social Security Administration.

This could effectively block millions of Americans from getting the benefits they have earned.

Not a single person out of 18 of the very most senior officials in this Admin — including the Director of National Intelligence and the CIA Director — voiced any concern with highly classified military plans circulated on Signal.

You also can be sure this is not the only time.

So the consensus now among Republicans is to condition assistance to Democrat led states because they don't like how they do things. I hope CA, NY, MN, MA, NJ also condition their contribution to the Trump government until they change their policies.

A brutal and horrifying but extremely well written and reported piece. I've been a Gaiman fan for decades and I might normally be able to separate the art from the artist, but he cast himself as an ally and a feminist through all of his work. It's a pile of trash now.

it's going to sound gimmicky but I think that women shouldn't have to read the Gaiman piece but all men should read it to the end, just as all men should have read all the long reads about the Pelicot case, so many seem to still not realise the extent to which so many men hate and want to hurt us
