Just called my senator, who's a reliable guy who will vote the right way on this, left a message asking him to pass on to his squishier colleagues that if this goes through I'll take any money I would have used to help his campaign and instead use it to help their primary opponents.
Call the United States Capitol switchboard at (202) 224-3121 and they will connect you with your senator's office.

If you're represented by one of the squishier centrists, be sure to make a call. Now.
Sounds like the squishes in the senate caucus are ready to pull the plug with no ACA changes. This is real. If you want to register your opinion you shld call yr senator in the next hour. They not only want to reopen w/nothing. They want cover from their colleagues who still want to hold out.

I have no strong position on whether dude in the beer jacket is AI-generated or not, but I will note that if it real it would only be performance art--I can think of much better pastimes than lugging around 50-100+ pounds of liquid that is slowly sapping my body heat to become undrinkably warm.
I for one will welcome our Chinese overlords #Beerjacket #China #Tsingtao

While out with @brianwolven.bsky.social and @vexedmuddler.bsky.social last night (I think @barbylon.bsky.social had already left?) we came up with the idea of "Jugband Demon Hunters", which may or may not star Emmett Otter. So it's up to all of yinz animator types to actually make it happen.

Some asteroids spin smoothly. Others tumble chaotically. Understanding their differences could help us learn more about asteroid history and improve planetary defense measures.
What Tumbling Asteroids Tell Us About Their Innards - Eos
Data from the Gaia space observatory reveal that many slowly spinning asteroids rotate chaotically. A new theory links that chaos to their inner structure and history.

I am just outside that cohort and think peak Fleetwood Mac was peerless! However, like that cohort, I lived in real time through the very public airing of their very toxic interpersonal dynamics while their music descended from astonishing to ubiquitous and pedestrian, which also colored opinions.
I'm not saying 'only people aged 47 to 55 think Fleetwood Mac are bad' - obviously people of all ages have different opinions. But only people in that v specific age group think that 'Fleetwood Mac are bad' is a common sense, commonplace opinion.

I’m accusing him of that!
Comer on why he thinks Biden's pardons were worse than Trump saying he knows nothing about people he's pardoning: "Nobody is accusing Donald Trump of not knowing what day it is, what year it is, the pardon process and things like that, so I think there's a big difference."

OK, last post to celebrate N7 Day from this account (at least right now): My tribute to my blue girlfriend, Liara.

(song isn't really one of my best, the performance isn't one of my best, I know I'm really selling it here)

Here's what you might hear at your N7 Day Party, in very specific and fictional circumstances.

(I'd say spoilers, but the game is well over 10 years old at this point, and this isn't actually plot critical?)

Happy N7 Day, everybody!

Ooh. Sophomore year of college. I saw them twice on this tour. At the time I would have said “You Are the Everything” was my favorite, but nowadays I’m a bit more partial to “I Remember California”.
