She ran as a moderate. Maybe you think that’s good and maybe you think that’s bad. All I am arguing is that the endless takes about how Democrats should pivot to the center should explain why it didn’t work in this election (there are good reasons!) rather than pretending she didn’t.

The exhausting thing is how I don't really like any of this. I understand what Rachel is trying to say. I understand why Claire sees what she sees.

It's not antisemitic to "want kids to live."

It's antisemitic to frame I/P as a disagreement over whether kids should.

And I think it's accidental.
None of this is normal! None of it is in the safe parameters of sanity!

Dr. Oz is clearly a moron who, incredibly, doesn't understand anything about how the insurance system works.

But also: Conservatives genuinely believe that people want to spend endless hours "choosing the insurance that's best for them." They don't. They want good, secure health care. It's simple.
Dr Oz: "If you had a check in the mail, you could buy the insurance you thought was best for you"

Well it certainly doesnt help if you start your focus on things that bring people joy instead of decarbonising the energy grid, yes.
I think what holds many back is the thought that to really avoid climate damage, we have to stop flying, stop shopping for fashion, reuse, recycle and share more. Walk instead of driving. Live a more village scale life. People don’t want to give up AI, foreign holidays, cars, streaming services

Re: Israeli adoption of far-right Islamophobic narratives about Europe.
I know there are a lot of reasons for this, including Netanyahu's championing of the European far right. But I suspect this is also in part due to the nature of the French Jewish demographic that has emigrated to Israel over the past 10-15 years, among whom this line of critique would be prevalent.

I‘m tired of being nice about this; “abolitionism” has had years to develop a non-idiot policy program and the best they’ve come up with is ”murder without even the pretense of juridical process.” And I am not nut-picking; this is all over abolitionist writing.
