Israeli-American techie scum. Almost became political operative scum, hence tweeting.

RP without comment equals endorsement of post only, not source account.
When they call the site "right-wing bootlickers", they are at least subject to criticism.

Complying with a subpoena does not a right wing bootlicker make.

Yeah but GDP per capita is not a measure of everything important

Then you should choose different words if you ever intend to be an activist about this.

In the plain language that most voters understand, such facilities are still prisons and "prison abolition" means "not even that is okay".

You are taking polite diplomatic fictions far too much at face value.

Heard good things about Yuri On Ice. Haven't watched it, though.

Not "civilization", no. But the *state* absolutely fell; the thing these warlords demanded wasn't to take control of the central apparatus and run it for their own benefit, but to carve out their own smaller kingdoms.

I would argue that this permission was only granted because of the underlying threat of violence. e.g. after the Vandals sacked Rome, they didn't have to sack it again to extract "voluntary" concessions.

She ran as a moderate. Maybe you think that’s good and maybe you think that’s bad. All I am arguing is that the endless takes about how Democrats should pivot to the center should explain why it didn’t work in this election (there are good reasons!) rather than pretending she didn’t.

This is like when our cat sort of wants to fight with his brother but is also tired so he just reclines fully and kind of halfheartedly swats with one paw

I think this usually only happens to wholesale prices, not residential (which still gets super cheap), but don't quote me on that.

And yeah - at that point you get paid to use the electricity.

You have been caught up by narratives of Jews from Arab countries as resources that were "stolen" by nefarious "Zionists" from innocent locals.

They are people who, when they were given the choice, left for their own safety. (And in some countries they were not given the choice.)

The US and Israeli governments then negotiated ransom payments ("indemnities"), not to "take out" Jews against their will, but to give Jews *permission* to leave the country.
