I keep listening to the radio out of Asheville and hearing a person calling in to locate folks and another calling back to say they just went and checked on them because they’re nearby and no they don’t know them but they’re okay—we do not need cops after disaster, we do need community radio

As a black person there is no place I can flee to. I understand this clearly which is why i don't listen to a lot of y'all. Why should i have to move to the refrigerator part of the county to face racism in a down coat? Other marginalized groups should understand if I am not free neither are you

I feel heartened by the recent wave of horror with fully human fat characters. Time to push harder, to move past the corporate tedium of body positivity and educate ourselves on the tenets and history of fat liberation, to open ourselves up to fat sex, fat depravity, fat joy, and all the rest of it.
