there was a wildness there, a wodewosenness, a green, pagan thrill which spoke of ancient things, of high glittering stars and the gyres of falcons wild and a king tangled in thorn and ivy, deep in the unending forest of Albion.

Wonderful, exciting news – my Reynard the Fox is now an audiobook! Completely unabridged and read by the perfect narrator, Joseph Edward Degnan. It's available now at all the usual places, see below for links and a clip!
Sometimes the Maleperduys kitchens were cold and bare,
with only potage and pea soup and coarse dark bread and lean
scraps of bacon and dull, cheap dishes like peas-on-a-stick...

People can recover from libertarianism.
Good on Penn Jillette. Having to come to terms with your entire political identity and philosophy being wrong is not easy and most people could never do it.

Advent Sunday & London was bitterly cold and wreathed in a damp fog which smelt of underground rivers and coal smoke. The Dragon of Kensington Church Street, however, was exceedingly well wrapped up in a Sèvres blue muffler and matching mittens.

Hey kids, we are a small Irish family business.

We make lovely things by hand.

Could you buy something so we can pay for our Christmas packaging?

Thanks a mill.

Yeah, well, my tax dollars are paying for ICE to threaten and abduct my neighbors. Steak sounds better.

Always read Naomi. Always.
Oh hey, I wrote a science fiction novel about this! Well, not about having a seastead guy as the head of the US CDC, but about what a seastead might look like (including the lax regulatory regime).

(sigh) What was that saying? "Everything happens twice... the first time as tragedy, the second time as farce."
"How are we supposed to beat the Nazis when you're running around speaking up for communists, socialists, trade unionists, and Jews? Lots of people dislike those groups. Once we ditch all of them, the five of us who are left will beat Hitler easily."

I dropped a poster tube in the #sdcc exhibit hall trying to get a signature. The poster inside has 2 dozen autographs collected at events in multiple states and countries. The tube has a name and address on it, it’s easy to id; but I’m devastated, I feel like such an idiot. #sdcclostandfound

Trump's own Cabinet would have been harmed by birthright citizenship move
The policy would in theory harm some of Trump's own Cabinet members and other prominent political figures.
