Made famous by its outing in Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, the Transavia PL-12 Airtruk was a unique agricultural aircraft. Despite Australian government reticence to support a domestic aviation industry, Transavia manufactured 138 between 1966 and 1993, and had plans for utility and military variants.

::shaking my head sadly::

It goes on and on, my friends.
The Song That Doesn’t End is like a horror story. “Some people started singing it, /not knowing what it was/ and they’ll continue singing it forever just because”. They didn’t know. They had no idea. They just started singing and now they’re doomed to sing forever.

This is such blatant false intimacy. He doesn't have that relationship with...anybody, really. That's why he doesn't see how tone deaf this is to anyone with a scrap of empathy. We can see who he is in his mind's eye, and also who he actually is in real life, and it's scary he has real power.

This is what international relations should be: trading rock bands to get to know each other better, to see ourselves in each other, and reaffirm our friendships. This empire shit is for the birds.

The social and neurological impacts of "AI" are likely to be vastly more harmful than the environmental impacts.

ZERO precautionary study has been completed by the companies developing this technology. Nothing. They don't give a shit.
An issue we're seeing at all levels of university is that many students are simply refusing to do *anything*. They aren't reading the syllabus, aren't following assignment guidelines, aren't engaging with material, ignoring deadlines. And this might seem like old news, but it truly has ramped up.

Wild to see Whelan say this, but to be clear the OLC's immunity powers are fake anyway. The "golden shield" idea was made up to justify rampant criminality in the GWBush years, then adopted by Holder to excuse Obama's inaction. It's not in the Constitution, statute, or precedent. It's not the law.
Does Pete Hegseth have a "golden shield" against prosecution in the form of a DOJ OLC opinion? Ed Whelan thinks not.

Seska should have attempted a mutiny as the S1 finale.
Yeahhhh. I feel like they tried to go back to it with the holodeck episode with the Maquis insurrection. But definitely a missed opportunity. You can feel the show runners in season 1 trying to immediately fit the whole situation into the self-contained episode formula after the pilot.

I think the biggest problem with Star Trek: Voyager happens in the pilot where they simply gloss over how Janeway convinced the Maquis to join her crew. That should have been an entire episode--the absence of such a conversation lingers over the rest of the series, imho.

And if it’s so difficult then why do people think it’s not labour and writers are not workers

Every prompt to chatbot software is “generate me some text.” If it generated you some text, it performed its function correctly. It never lies, it never wants anything, it’s text generating software that generates text.
Not wanting to disappoint you so much that it lies is the last quality I want in a computer.

As someone that worked a call center for a large company in the past I can say this is effective. The call center contracts are very specific about performance. Unresolved calls and calls from irate callers matter. It actually gets to high levels pretty fast. Keep going!
Spoke with a source who told me the call volume is so high, a call center for both Mastercard & Visa is bringing out pizza and ice cream so agents don’t quite amid the rush. Long waits are causing dropped calls.

What you’re doing is working. Call MC & Visa.
