We want to talk about how treating COVID-19 as normal hurts working class and marginalised people, we want to talk about the ways the right mask can protect them and make you happier #maskup

As I read this, I'm thinking about the man I interviewed who had to be hospitalized from the Covid he caught at the poultry processing plant and he got fired for it and he still has long Covid
During the height of the pandemic, Tyson used Palantir to predict Covid-19 infections among meatpacking workers down to a nearly exactly figure. But rather than using this data to increase worker protections, Tyson used it plan for labor shortages + plant closures

We know lots of you have been asking 3M for a Black Aura - like mask for consumer use.

Today we're excited to launch a new product to fill that hole in the market!

Introducing the headband version of BreatheTeq KN95.

Available in black and white.

www.thenation.com/article/soci... this is really excellent. Prison abolitionists need to fold anti-COVID practices into their work, particularly if they’re in proximity to the prison and near people who are entering/exiting and agitating to get prisoners safe conditions, masks and vaccines
We’ve Entered the Gaslighting Phase of Covid in Prisons
Covid is spreading, but incarcerated people are being told vaccines aren’t necessary.

I believe that the state and media backed changing of the meaning of the word, 'Covid' to 'the period of time when non-pharmaceutical interventions were in place' rather than the disease itself will, in the future, be seen as the most damaging linguistic trick in history.

Before everyone says “Alan Moore stay winning” please remember he once ran a zine publishing Glinner saying Twitter gives him hope for the future, Alan’s wife called other women weird misogynistic slurs and their NHS consultant said people need to take responsibility for their own health. No heroes

People continue to call COVID advocates’ pleas for masking “unreasonable”.

Yet people who’ve already been disabled by COVID have no choice but to live with the “unreasonable” burdens of constant COVID safety.

My latest:

Beyond all reason
Long COVID patients are constantly harangued about our requests for COVID safety. Yet what we're asking for is far less than what we're called on to do to survive.

To say people make a rational assessment of the threat environment around Covid… is just not true.

Most people refuse to talk about or read anything about Covid.

Long Covid has surpassed asthma as the most common childhood illness, and it’s rarely spoken of.

(and i think it is a demand that stems from fear more than a rational assessment of the threat environment)

there was a COVID outbreak at the Florida ICE camp and a 30something man died of COVID after being snatched by ICE. I’m worried all of these people being abducted via racial profiling are being plunged into disease pits. When organising around this, do everything to can to prevent transmission
October 15, 2025 at 2:11 PM
The vaccine doesn’t stop infection, transmission or long term effects (organ and vascular damage). It’s there to stop most people having severe acute phase an and hospitals being overwhelmed. It costs a lot of money most people don’t have. It needs twice-yearly boosting to remain effective
yeah, i think a commitment to public health obligates you to get vaccinated and, when you are sick, do what you can to avoid spreading that to other people. the demand that one mask at all times in public spaces is, i think, unreasonable.
October 15, 2025 at 1:46 PM
We need to stop saying COVID harms disabled people and stress that it is a disability accelerator. If we say COVID harms disabled people we produce the false idea there are people who COVID can’t harm. When we do that, we move away from accomplishing what we want as people lower on the ladder

With only a handful of fringe exceptions everyone I know or have seen who masks cares more about getting the COVID vaccine (and an expanded range of COVID vaccines) than the general public

So, THAT'S THE NEED FOR MORE RESEARCH AND MORE WIDENED ACCESS TO BI-ANNUAL VACCINATIONS.
