Because of external factors, this weekend’s Gist came out on Tuesday.

So if you got a chance to hit repost that would be very helpful.

It’s on Patrick O’Donovan’s plans to implement Meta’s preferred form of ‘regulation’, but also to make it worse.

this is why i'm sceptical about ireland's emphasis on individual artist bursaries and artists basic income... it means we can pay rent but its ultimately just more money that goes into landlords pockets, it's not enough, artists need infrastructure and cities need spaces like this, for everyone

completely agree with the below!!

for those who aren't aware yet, flypost.ie was set up for this very reason, offering a community events calendar so people can keep track of gigs, protests, events, etc. without having to rely on a meta platform to see what's happening around ireland

Our language was rooted out of our country by our colonisers in a specific effort to LITERALLY make us less Irish and more like them instead.
If YOU feel less Irish take it up with THEM!!! Not the people reviving it!!

Leave aside the Connolly campaign. Consider all the people who go through garda vetting. That is a significant bloc of the population- volunteer parents helping kids in sports, at scouts, in charities.

Will that police data leak if the Gardaí want to intervene in a political campaign in the future?

There are lots of patches of Ireland that are nominally County/Province A but their vibes are profoundly County/Province B.

Arklow is far more Wexfordy than Wicklowish.

Louth feels more Ulster than Leinster.

And there are certain parts of Westmeath that are to the east of certain parts of Meath.
Where I live is definitely in Kilkenny but spiritually it’s part of Laois

The far-right are attempting to descend on Galway for a march through town.

We cannot let them enter our communities and continue their spread of hatred, disinformation, and racism.
