1/8 I've participated in a fair number of protests over the years, starting with the first Gulf War. I was surprised how moved I was at today's 50501 rally in KC. Partially, that was because of the sign I myself was carrying, and the conversations that led to.

Regarding protests and such, I've thought about taking more protective measures, but as a cis het white dude, I've ultimately come to the decision that any time they spend looking at me is time they can't spend on someone lower on the privilege scale.
