Me, nearly all the time.
Anyone else ever feel guilty about what you do, all of the time, literally everywhere, and constantly feel like you need to say sorry or ask permission?

In light of the Levy Review potentially giving transphobes oversight of medical research on trans healthcare, Trans Safety Network recommend English trans people OPT OUT of their healthcare data being used in research.

Information on how to do this can be found in the quoted post and thread.

Streaming's going to be patch for the next month or so as I try to look for another job as my current contract ends beginning/mid January. I'm hoping to be able to do a couple of hours Saturday and Sunday.

I spoke in Parliament today to challenge the misinformation from those claiming this tribunal as a 'win' for the anti-trans agenda.

In fact it found Ms Peggie harassed a colleague for being trans, and it dismissed almost all her claims.

It also found that trans segregation is not supported in law.
We've written & published a short summary statement regarding the Sandie Peggie V NHS Fife Health Board employment tribunal case & the judgment given yesterday. Much of the media coverage has missed key information, the most important aspect being that all claims against Dr Beth Upton were dismissed

Brad Delong pointed out that from 111 BC to 1945 AD, an army crossed the Rhine on average once every 37 years. That not happening any more is reason enough for the EU.

I won't be watching next year with Israrl still competing, the organisers know that the Israeli government are using Eurovision for propaganda purposes so can ban them from entering under their rules but still refuse to do so.
Eurovision has allowed Israel to compete in 2026.

Ireland, Spain, Slovenia, and the Netherlands have pulled out of the competition following the decision.

At this point in his career, Etzebeth would have been better off just taking the maximum ban versus the legacy-destroying claim that he was shit-scared of a knackered 15-stone 23-year-old from Aberdare.

So, a disciplinary panel rules that going for the eye was intentional. Then decides there "need for deterrent" was zero in the aggravating factors to add to ban.

Let that sink in, the panel doesn't believe intentional eye gouging requires a a deterrent.

You could substitute so many Labour initiatives for "Motability cuts" and this headline would still make sense. What a tragedy this Government is.

the bbc changed their article from saying 'trans woman' to saying 'biological male who identifies as a woman'.

even if you don't care about trans ppl it should alarm you just how captured the bbc has become.

they will no longer even say 'trans woman'. that's not normal and shows massive bias.

Best understood, Labour's attack on juries, as a further lurch towards authoritarianism. Who, now, will stand in the way of a State that wants to imprison its opponents?

almost every novelist you read who's not from the airport fiction or bestseller sections is working a full on day job, including multi-award winners and absolute legends, or they have a spouse or trust that supports them. virtually across the board. just normalize in your mind that's how it works.
I know we know this, but authors need to get better at talking about how they actually make their money. Stop pretending it's from the books.

So much this. I rarely drink, I shouldn't have to explain why every time I don't.
Just a friendly reminder as we go into the holidays:

Folks don't have to explain to you why they don't drink.

If you offer them a drink and they decline, don't ask them why. It's not your business.

Just offer them something without alcohol to drink instead. And move on.
