This saga has been the best use of Twitter screenshots on Bluesky by a wide margin. This is, like, the one time we are truly being enriched by knowing something going on over there.

Oh, what a treat for you. It's Monday and I have DJ Corvis's FIFTH broadcast from KWHY, powering through as the light winks out of the world.

Tune in for Corvis's ASMR-like voice, dry wit, and music from Yo La Tengo, Against Me!, Gloria Estefan and more.

See you in 20: bannerless.games/void-kwhy5

I will always wish we could've gotten more work from Lynch, but I'm so glad he got to make a swan song like The Return.

Not only is there so much to dig into for its own sake, but there are all these little nods that make it feel like his career coming full circle in a surprisingly satisfying way.

- Twin Peaks: The Return (2017)

agreeing to make a terrible deal while your main opponent is quite literally being boo'd on live tv by an entire stadium of people is the kind of political instinct you'd normally only find in a 3 week old dead goldfish

Help Tasneem if you can!!!
The situation on the ground for Gazans is horrific. They rely entirely on our direct donations to survive.

Please give to my friend Tasneem so she can feed her family and raise funds to escape Gaza and rebuild their lives. And find and help others if you can. ❤️

The skies over Tucson will regularly make you feel like you're in a bad sci-fi movie, and that's one of the many reasons I love living here.

Saw Kurosawa's RAN in a sold-out theater, with audible gasps, laughs, and applause in all the right places.

Sitting with a rapt 2025 audience for a 1985 movie that applied feudal samurai culture to a Shakespeare story really brought home the immortality of art in a way I've rarely experienced.
What is the best movie not from this year that you’ve seen this year? Bonus points if you say why

if you are food insecure for both the humans and pets in your household there is a tool called Pet Help Finder that can help locate pet food banks nearby and other free or reduced price assistance and supplies for pets.
no one, ABSOLUTELY NO ONE, should have to give up their pet bc of this.

GdT's FRANKENSTEIN might be closer to the book than 99% of adaptations, but it still breaks from the text in various seismic ways. Like his PINOCCHIO, it's less about bringing a book to life than it is about GdT ruminating on what these texts and characters mean to him.
FRANKENSTEIN is *staggering*, an immaculate Gothic masterpiece that defies even del Toro's already ludicrously high bar. I'm speechless.

What I love is when people talk about Lynch being abstruse or weird for its own sake or impenetrable when the fact of it, particularly in talks like this, he's really clear. He might use ambiguous symbols in his films, but this isn't.

Something to remember.
