Recent surveys on Quebec sovereignty and identity suggest that Quebecers’ sense of belonging has evolved.

It’s not a switch, but a dial.

“People find it easier to imagine that we can build intelligence on silicon than we can do democracy at scale, or that we can escape arms races. I think it would be instructive to have a statistical survey of the companies that have been bought by private equity – how long they've survived, what level of debt do they carry if still alive, what assets they had at bankruptcy if they aren't, etc.

This is a good overview of AI power use (small at individual level, big in aggregate).

One thing that struck me: they tested LLama 3.1 405B and it averaged 3,353 joules per prompt. That is the equivalent of 2 minutes 50 seconds of human brain activity. www.technologyreview.com/2025/05/20/1...
We did the math on AI’s energy footprint. Here’s the story you haven’t heard.
The emissions from individual AI text, image, and video queries seem small—until you add up what the industry isn’t tracking and consider where it’s heading next.

Right now I see the #liberals up at least seven and possibly as high as nine points in the polls . Conservatives are consistently 37 or 38 and the liberals 44 to 46. Also, liberal vote is more efficient, so it should be a liberal majority government on April 28th bearing some unforeseen circumstance
