The Times went to non urban Minnesota to ask people why they dislike urban Minneapolis. If someone were to ask me to teach a journalism school course on helicopter reporting, this story - so cliche it’s almost hard to believe they really did this - would immediately go on the syllabus.
NYTimes has truly outdone itself with this latest in its "ask white guys in diner" genre. There seems to be a mind-boggling collapse in Americans' ability to understand the concept of speech acts. When the president makes a declaration, that's not "mere" words. The statement constitutes a foreign policy action. I feel like I'm going crazy here. Nobody has ever not understood this before

They literally always accuse protesters of being paid because 1) it shifts the terrain of the debate and 2) it reassures their base that no one legitimately holds a contrary position. They take comfort in thinking that anyone who disagrees with Trump is either brainwashed or a cynic.
ICE keeps saying the people protesting it are being paid without any evidence, but we have receipts showing that the people *defending* ICE are absolutely being paid.

Everyone contains the genes for growing and maintaining both ovaries and testes, too. That's how the majority of 46XX ovotesticular syndrome cases happen. I bet we could find a way to switch those pathways on and off in stem cells and grow custom gonads or whatever type we want for ourselves.

each of us contains the full genetic instructions for both testosterone & estrogen driven hormone loadouts (along with varying combos of both)
this can be changed at any time. our genes will even start expressing themselves differently within ~3-6 months.

He was bundled into the van & taken away.
