Trump was POTUS on J6.

It was Trump’s FBI.

Biden’s win had not even been certified yet.

Trump’s lies are beyond insane.

Department of Homeland Security is cutting over $187 million or 86% of homeland security funding to New York State which will radically defund NYPD, FDNY, and NY State Police terrorism programs, according to a letter from New York Governor Kathy Hochul to DHS Secretary Kristi Noem.

Would’ve been great for them to see this train coming a year ago
Trump's approval is underwater in all 7 swing states.

There is no world in which it is normal for the president to publicly call upon his attorney general to hurry up and prosecute his political foes. It’s like the Watergate tapes but posted on social media. Let’s get a grip on what’s happening here.

WATCH: On Fox, @jessicatarlov.bsky.social points out even “Ted Cruz of all people” thinks Trump and his FCC stooge Brendan Carr are going too far and trampling free speech

if I were a member of the current Trump administration I would not be excited about the concept of “illegal pardons”
Trump on Biden: "Those pardons that he gave are illegal. He gave illegal pardons."

Yes
Trump is about to fire a U.S. attorney because he couldn’t fabricate charges against Letitia James. Pure corruption.

Are Republicans fine with this?

I honestly have no idea how JD Vance squares his faith with his lies. I’ve tried to wrap my head around it and just can’t.
Next time someone on the right claims all the political violence in this country is coming from the left, not the right, do please show them this.

You're welcome

Calling it now: almost all the coming crackdown on progressive groups will be focused on those that provide funding, resources, research, knowledge, or assistance of other kinds to Democratic candidates, voters, and institutions focused on winning the midterm elections.

An authoritarian crackdown.

Q: Do you think it would've been fitting to lower the flags to half staff when Melissa Hortman, the Minnesota House Speaker, was gunned down by an assassin?

It’s not often that I agree with GOP Rep. Don Bacon, but he’s absolutely right here.

This post is oversimplified to the point of being not serious.

1. Trump’s agenda will not grind to a halt during a shutdown

2. Real people do get hurt. Inc. Govt workers who still show up to help ppl

3. It helps dems with base, not swing voters.
The U.S. government has become a neofascist regime run by a sociopath.

Keeping it funded now is to participate in the most atrocious abuse of power in U.S. history.

So I for one have decided that the best route is to shut the whole thing down.

Take it from some who teaches about drone strikes, “I shed no tear for that guy” and “this is bad, it shouldn’t have happened” can be normal reactions to have simultaneously.

Opposition to political violence isn’t about personal sympathy for an individual target per se, it’s about society.

It should not matter who would "win." The use of violence against ones political opponents is antithetical to the existence and maintenance of a free, diverse, democratic republic. If you can't condemn this act, you don't embrace the principles upon which such a society is built.
If I have any credibility with you from 20 years of reporting on rightwing & fascist movements, please listen when I beg you not to celebrate Charlie Kirk getting shot. Leave aside morality: this isn’t a match in dry grass, it’s a torch. We do not want what this could ignite & we would not win.

I guess it was smart of the Supreme Court to release its most racist decision since Plessy on the same day it was confirmed that Trump used his signature in the place of a vagina in his pedophile love letter/birthday card.

I'll admit, I can't top that.

They’re claiming the signature isn’t real but I’m going to remind everyone that 11000+ photographs and videos were removed from Epstein’s properties by the FBI and this is the tip of the fcking iceberg.

And I think everyone in the GOP knows it.

It is fine to keep hammering away at "release the files" but there is a real danger here of underplaying how much this is itself already a smoking gun.
