Not sure I can afford for The Cure to release any more music. So far, I count 9 vinyl editions of Songs of a Lost World (including the ones packages with Songs of a Live World), 4 cassettes, and 3 CDs. 💸💸💸
From The Cure email:

Pre-orders in the stores.

The world’s 280 million electric bikes and mopeds are cutting demand for oil far more than electric cars
Electric vehicles get all the press – but it’s the smaller unsung two wheelers cutting oil demand the most.

You don’t have to be a “cyclist” to support safe bike infrastructure in your city. You don’t have to ride bikes at all. You just have to understand the FACT that bike infrastructure makes getting around easier & safer for EVERYONE, saves us all public money, & makes cities generally more successful.

Shocking as it sounds, it’s quite possible people prefer the civility and community of Bluesky over being force fed some cooked up algorithm concocted by a bombastic billionaire to amplify trolls, bots, and miscreants. Imagine that!

Interesting move on Strava's part.

But what if they did winter heat maps? Because every year round commuter has to make route changes.

Better yet, what about female only night maps? That would say a lot about how safe a city feels to 50% of the population.

Riding bikes is 10X more important than electric cars for reaching net-zero cities. And that’s just the climate emissions. Doesn’t include the massive public & personal cost, the air & noise pollution, the huge space difference, etc… @theconversation.bsky.social

Cycling is ten times more important than electric cars for reaching net-zero cities
Active travel can help tackle the climate crisis earlier than electric vehicles – even if you swap the car for a bike for just one trip a day.

Please #HamOnt, just give us at least one pedestrian street downtown.
Advisors told Ljubljana’s mayor that pedestrianizing downtown would be political suicide. Eighteen years later, he’s still mayor.

Got my flu and (surprisingly as I thought I had to wait longer since I had my last in the summer) latest Covid shot, which I am happy for because a) vaccines save lives and b) it’ll be wedged in my system for my January holiday to Mexico. Hope my arm “hangs in there” tho, it’s a bit angry 💪🏼
