PayPal is updating their ToS to let themselves give your data to merchants starting in November and they're certainly banking on people not knowing to opt out, SO to opt out before they start:

Since the "can we have compassion" nonsense is going around, here is my spicy hot take:
Most of us DO have compassion. We want them to have healthcare, basic human rights, safe working conditions, etc. That is compassion & more than they have for us.
We just won't be tolerating their bigotry. 🤷
