Had a long conversation with my contact at the Oregon Dept of Agriculture. The ODA administers the Hemp program. She has been hearing from a lot of hemp growers lately. (She thanked me for being nice about it - I said I waited a few days to calm down before calling.) Here's what I learned:

From a reddit post discussing ICE moving into Charlotte
I live in Chicago, here are some tips for dealing with the Black and Tans: Keep whistles on you to alert the neighborhood of ICE activities. Distribute whistles if you can. Post signage where people are taken, "ICE kidnapped someone here" is a powerful message. Stand firm in crosswalks or use your vehicle to obstruct ICE movement. Invite friends and family from rural areas to enjoy your cities, show them the only violence there is caused by the federal government. Post signage to alert your neighbor of the ICE activity. Record everything they do. Ask for warrants. They won't have one, but making them admit it is important. If they are on your private property, firmly tell them to leave. Sell them nothing and don't let them use restrooms. Protests. Protest. Protest. Every delay is a life saved. Remember, people aren't being deported, they are going missing.

Lord. I was supposed to be paid today for election work I did for WFP. I let them know weeks ago I wasn’t able to upload a cancelled check for direct deposit and asked for help. Then I was told I would be given a pay card. Then asked to pick up the card in Philly? Then told it would be sent.

Last night when I got home from karaoke, I interrupted a very important cat gathering.
Perse Cat anc Chloe Cat are sitting on top of the loveseat while Merky Cat is on a red blanket on the seat. Absent from this gathering is Roey Cat who was napping in a basket upstairs.
