I feel almost normal today? I woke up with energy I haven’t had in at least two weeks. Maybe I’ll get some painting in after a bit of cleaning since the children tried to try, but my kitchen looks like a frat house.

Please! They’re finding that even though subclade K evades many immune defenses, hospitalizations among children especially are still mostly kids who weren’t vaccinated. theyre finding vaccination still slows community spread and is reducing illness severity. GET VACCINATED.
according to a thing I read this morning, only 1/4 of eligible people in my state got the flu vaccine so far, and now a 4-year-old died of the flu. Please get vaccinated if you can!

One thing that seems to be lost in the discourse: Machado was literally told by T she would have been made president of Venezuela except she didn’t give him her prize. Maduro’s regime is still running the show. It was a sound thing for an opposition leader to try.

Just had my telehealth appt with my doctor. He said I look and sound better, and it’s not uncommon for the congestion that I woke up with this morning to show up after the main covid event since my immune system has been through it. Plan is for me to go back w/shorter shifts next week.

Fatigue is the most prevalent symptom of my covid right now. I’m mildly congested, and the myalgia is now my more typical “I’m in excruciating pain because I have hEDS and need to exercise.” The headache that dominated days 1-3 seems to finally be gone. SO grateful I had my vax!

Strip District. Bigelow Blvd. PD saw three disabled cars on Bigelow next to Frank Cuerto Park. Initially thought as a pothole but it appears a storm drain collapsed and that is disabling vehicles.

Happening Now: Hundreds of protesters are holding a noise demo outside of the Graduate by Hilton Hotel in Minneapolis where ICE agents are reportedly staying. Drums, guitars, pots and pans are in-tune to "fuck ICE" and "ICE out" chants. Riot police are currently in the lobby.
