I’m charging my car next to a Ford dealer. There is a guy in a white Ram pickup that looks new (and is giant) driving back and and forth down the row of new giant Ford pickups (also all white save a single grey one) like he’s considering buying, and I can but imagine the story.

Before we get back to my man Odysseus' tale, we're brought to you today by Audible. We already know you are a fan of epic stories, why not get one free epic every month.
As his work would have been orally composed rather than written, I think it's more accurate to consider Homer an early sort of podcaster

Game day (an away game) for RIFC and I’ll miss the watch party cuz I’m 800 miles away, but we happily threw in for @ridefiance1636.bsky.social’s food bank fundraiser. Even without a SNAP crisis it would be a good idea, but it’s just an exceedingly rough time right now.

Ever have one of those moments where despite knowing the world is broken and you can’t go back, that things feel almost normal?

I’ve got the radio on. Brian Phillips is on. He’s spinning Royal Crescent Mob. So so close to normal, even though I know it’s not.

My aunt worked for Martha Stewart for years, with little recognition, but was proud today to see her photo in an article in the NYTimes about Martha Stewart’s impact on dinner-as-entertainment.

She’s just to Martha’s left (our right) in this photo, with the bowtie.
