Good morning everyone. It's 6c here & a wet, rainy morning.
I'm taking a break on the sofa. Or maybe a sofa loafer.
Thursday thoughts: chase goals not people.
Celebrate small wins.
Take a break if you need to.
Do something that makes you feel good.
Learn something in everything.

n.b. what "woke" actually meant was "aware of racism, sexism, &c. as systemic harms built into our social order, and that they won't be eliminated without fighting bosses and cops"

hence the obsession with rebranding it as the DEI workshop ideology so people can argue about DEI workshops instead
I am so sick of these faux ‘left’ types laundering MAGA talking points by pretending that sensitivity to language politics is elitism incarnate. Guess what? Giving a shit about how you treat people is the foundation of a consistent politics oriented towards justice, including anti-capitalism.

Or alternately, they'll just arrest you and charge you all with felonies.

Or they'll revoke your student visa and attempt to deport you.

Or they'll bring in the cops to fire riot munitions at your face.

Or they'll pull the cops back and let zealots brutalize and spray you.

All in 2024.

HB121 passes the Montana House of Reps 58-42, the first bathroom ban to pass in 2025 a legislative chamber.

The bill would ban trans adults from state and local owned bathrooms of their gender identity.

By virtue, it would also target rep Zooey Zephyr in bathrooms.

Sad day for trans Montanans.

"Biological differences matter. Pretending they don't provides confusion and danger."

Transgender people are often biologically much more closely matching their gender they have transitioned to than their assigned sex at birth.
