Passionate about the power of creativity and connection. Teaching sewing in Belfast. Posts about sewing, cats, dogs and random ramblings. Was @abbyjss at the other place.
I see the fake Christians are losing it over the Supreme Court ruling about teaching religion in schools in Northern Ireland.

They are acting like it's been banned. To be clear, RE will still be taught. Christianity just won't be shoved down their throats every single day in every single school.

The marketing team in Tesco are delighted at the free publicity for their Christmas products. 😆
Let’s have a look at a crazy Twitter to newspaper pipeline story and debunk as we go! 🔎👍🏼

16th Nov the “Britain is Broken” account shared the following post claiming “Tesco are no longer celebrating Christmas”

With a picture of their “Evergreen” Trees

2.2Million views to date🙄

Genuinely intrigued by who has put this up.

Is it a Christmas thing or is it Reform stoking more hatred and fear of immigration?

AI slop would be very on brand for Reform.
This mural has gone up in Kingston, ostensibly for Christmas but AI has ensured it's actually to celebrate the return of our dark lord Cthulhu

Still laughing/crying at The Boy declaring is @rdcomics.bsky.social is still doing brilliant comics considering he's "getting quite old now".

I pointed out I'm about the same age.

His reply? Well, exactly. 💀

Hold the line.
I do not understand authors, broadcasters, voice artists, YouTubers, ANY creative artists using quick and cheap AI for their cover images and not realising: it will be you next.

I choose to believe that someone along the chain knew the job wasn't needed and they all just got on with it anyway just to make Reform look stupid.

This is talking as an ex Neighbourhood Manager for a council run by a party I didn't hate but I sure as hell couldn't stand the elected members.

Is #R4Tiday really interviewing two anti immigration mouthpieces on the language the government is using?

Have they completely given up on balance?

I'm sure there are many experts out there on the subject rather than two overly opinionated old white guys.

Omg just interacted with. Trump supporter. Inside my art studio. I was kind, I tried to have a conversation and had to politely end it when they got kinda ugly with me. I don’t usually bring up the one anti-Trump piece of art I have (do r like to talk about him) but they asked directly.

For the first time in my life I'm glad a vote in Northern Ireland makes bog all difference to which party gets into power.

I would hate to have to vote in the rest of GB these days.

My husband keeps sending me Trump Clinton memes.

I can't decide if I'm amused or traumatised.

Got a few regrets, but leaving Tommy Robinson’s Labour Party is not one of them.

You know what I need?

I need inspirational stories of people who have been through really crap times and are now ok.

Not out of reach, I turned my trauma into a multi million £ business, stories. I want, things were unrelentingly crap and now they're not, stories.

Okay, I can't let this one go. I live in Ireland, not the UK, but the use of this image by a supposedly socialist party is so stupid and offensive, I'm going to get stuck in.

Let me explain to you why any experienced illustrator/designer could have stopped you making so many miserable mistakes. 1/

Part of this week’s newsletter was inspired by the post below. Was there a way to show the distance between normal Americans and the super wealthy?

We 100% need a publicly owned, independent media outlet and the best we have is the BBC.

What we don't need is a segment on the Dr strikes with someone from the BMA, Wes Streeting sound bites and some random dude who knows nothing but his Drs appointment was cancelled.

Not that my cat's a bit of a diva or anything.

Reform in Lancashire threatens closing five day centres and five care homes, with “reprovision” forcing disabled or older adults (including a 106-year-old) into alternative support.

I've just said hello to someone I thought I knew.

I didn't know them.

They said hello back to me like they knew me.

Isn't the human condition wonderful?
November 13, 2025 at 5:30 PM
Social media is proof that humans should be allowed nice things.

I want the days when the most controversial opinion was about what someone put in their lunch time jacket potato back.

I am so anxious about everything and where the world feels like it's going to.

But I'm also so tired and I don't know what to do.

Well that explains why Trump is after the BBC.
Nowhere in the hysterical pile-on against the BBC in the British press has anyone mentioned that BBC News now has 77 million viewers & listeners in the US and has established itself as the second most trusted news source there.
