Who needs action potentials in skeletal muscle? Not zebrafish!
Are action potentials in vertebrate muscle essential for contraction? This study of #zebrafish lacking #SodiumChannel NaV1.4 reveals that NaVs are dispensable for #muscle contraction, so the need for muscle #ActionPotentials can vary between vertebrates @plosbiology.org 🧪 plos.io/42EXQwx

If you have questions & Google search something from class, please scroll past the AI summary. Those are unreliable. Wikipedia is more reliable. You can also look in your textbook, send me an email, stop by during office hours, or ask during the next class.
