As one of the leading scientists in super-resolution microscopy and a truly remarkable individual, Markus is at the forefront of the field. I highly recommend this to anyone interested in the future of bioimaging!
#Antibodies are often too bulky to reach every target in dense clusters, leading to incomplete labeling. #expansionmicroscopy solves this by physically separating proteins, which facilitates efficient labeling and reveals protein complexes.

I remade an old render with a more exact version. The most efficient packing possible of 17 squares into a larger square. I use it as an inspiring example: just because something looks stupid doesn't mean it's not the best that you can do.

This is now a published peer-reviewed paper, in which we show, for the first time (to my knowledge) an interaction and co-operation between SALL4 and BAF (SWI/SNF). Together, they induce neural crest fate early on, by priming thousands of enhancers in the neuroectoderm.

Meet DISCO-seq 🤗 flipping the order: RNA-preserving clearing → whole-organ/whole-body 3D imaging → pick ROIs in 3D → unbiased scRNA-seq.
