TIL! 😬 Thanks for filling the rather enormous gap in my knowledge. The israeli articles kept talking like fusion bombs would technically circumvent the fatwa against nuclear weapons in Iran, so it sounded like a huge leap in technology. Clearly that's not the case.
a nuclear fusion bomb is what is commonly called a "h-bomb" or "hydrogen bomb", also "thermonuclear bomb" and all nuclear powers have tested them and possess them, they're much more powerful and destructive, so it's not like magical tech, it's from research in the the 40's etc.
