Everton's home pre-season friendly with Roma has sold out. New stadium or not, more than 52,000 fans packing out an arena for a kickabout.

The potential of the football club is huge. It always has been.

2% tax on assets worth over £10m would raise £24bn/year.

Starmer's welfare cuts will only save £5bn/year.

Instead of making the poorest and most vulnerable pay for years of austerity, it's time to introduce a wealth tax.

OK, this is wild.

In September 2023, geophysicists across the world started monitoring a very odd signal coming from the ground under them.

It was picked up in the Arctic. And Antarctica. It was detected everywhere, every 90 seconds, as regular as a metronome, for *nine days*.

What the HELL?

Britain's 177 billionaires sit on £965 bn - more EACH than the average Brit will earn in 1000 lifetimes.

So obviously, Labour decided NOT to have a 2% wealth tax on this obscene, unspendable hoarding. More poverty for 6.9m disabled Britons is their solution.

@teamlabouruk.bsky.social who'd have thought this Labour Gov't could make the Tories look good? Even worse people start looking to Reform. You need to get your act together quickly. I'm a lifelong Labour supporter (67). Now looking for a creditable alternative

Despite the fact that Reform MPs are always shouting about immigration, not one of them could be arsed to turn up for the debate on the Border Security Bill last night. Probably exhausted after a hard day cosplaying at being farmers.

They really, really need to pin this on Farage. When you think of the 'big beasts' of Brexit bollocks, there's not really anyone else left in the game so it should be quite easy.
YouGov find just 30% of people think we were right to leave the EU. The lowest number yet.

Just 10% of 18-24 year olds think it was the right decision.
