Nick Fuentes called Alex Pretti a “race traitor” for opposing ICE.

I argue that sentiment is actually widespread on the MAGA right.

My latest for @liberalcurrents.com

After Alex Pretti’s Murder, it’s Clear That MAGA Media Views White Liberals as Race Traitors
MAGA is committed to the belief that the people ICE is pursuing are inherently bad and that therefore opposing ICE is standing with criminals and rapists against the American people.

Q: Can you be specific about how many ICE and CBP agents are currently operating in the state?

HOMAN: 3,000. There's been some rotations. They've been in theater a long time. Day after day, can't eat in restaurants, people spin on you, blowing whistles at you. But my main focus now is draw down

The online-ification of politics is producing enormous tension here. Elected officials have become accustomed to tweeting or holding a press conference and having words accepted as reality, and in this instance people are noticing that the actual reality on the ground does not match it at all.
There really seems to be a lot of kayfabe happening right now. Trump is pretending to de-escalate to placate Dems so they don't demand reform, and Dems are making up fake reforms so they can pretend like they made changes while they vote to fund DHS.

The Iranian military has received plenty of warning that something is likely coming. Given the apparent lack of defections during the June war or the protests, I don't think simply killing Khamenei or some more top generals will cause the remaining military structure to simply give up.

All rumors floating around about strike strategy indicate that Trump wants One Big Beautiful Strike on leadership or key military infrastructure, rather than an extended campaign. The issue is that the method (Big Beautiful Strike) is unlikely to achieve the goal (force Iran to give up).
And even then, my hunch is that any Trump strike on Iran is played for optics and media, and thus is just as likely to be a big salvo of TLAMs launched by a submarine or destroyer against a bunch of empty nuke-program warehouses in Isfahan

I know all eyes are on Minneapolis, but there's a fast-approaching nightmare in Springfield, Ohio.

Trump is revoking protected status for tens of thousands of Haitians living there on Feb. 3.

Reportedly, on Feb. 4, 1000 ICE agents are arriving to remove this population. Ethnic cleansing.

A thorough rebuttal of the David Brooks op-ed in which he sees what anyone who isn't a white man has seen all along, that there are two systems of justice in this country. The US has ALWAYS had two systems, always been a "prerogative" state and the Nazis learned from us, not the other way around.
David French argued Renee Good's murder is an example of the US having two sytems of law: orderly for friends & belligerent for foes. @victorerikray.bsky.social corrects him: US law has always promised fascism for non-whites & those who stand with them.
