PINNED INTRO POST: Hi, I'm Zander; I've been making comic books since 1993. My best known solo books are Heck, The Replacement God, and Kaijumax, and I've done art duties on such works as Top 10 and Smax. I've also done a great deal of educational graphic novels and layout assists for DC comics!

I worked with book publishers doing non-fiction comics for about 10 years, and there was always an offer to adapt classic literature. Despite the fact that in retrospect it was a financial blunder to say no, I was never interested-- why reinterpret it? Why recreate it? It felt unnecessary.

This made me laugh. Like actually.

I am 35 in a month, and I can remember being bought manga Hamlet and never reading it. This has been happening for a long time already. This is not the way to get kids reading classic literature.
A screenshot from the report reading: In particular, they point to the potential for adapting literary texts to graphic novel form, in order to make them more accessible to children and young people. One member mentioned a graphic novel edition of Beowulf which performs well in the US, where the epic poem is on the syllabus. "I THINK THERE'S A LOT OF SCOPE FOR ADAPTING CLASSIC PROSE NOVELS TO GRAPHIC NOVELS."

Sleep #7 won't be out for a couple weeks (12/24, perfect xmas gift for the bloodthirsty weirdo in your life), but I just got an email with an unhinged conspiracy theory that was literally 100% correct. The gauntlet has been thrown down, tinfoil hat kooks!
