I just got to the patient in The Pitt who got silicone butt injections from a TikToker and I am deeply entertained all over again.

I was digging through some old things when I came across this American Vampire poster. @ssnyder1835.bsky.social sent it to me after I reviewed American Vampire #1, and signed/personalized it when he did. I always thought that was so nice, and it’s how he’s always been, which I really appreciate.

It was a big year on @sktchd.bsky.social, as my subscription comic site has grown dramatically since I went full-time. Also, I genuinely believe I put out some of my best + most varied work.

To highlight that, I wanted to share some of my favorite articles from the year as a showcase of that work.

My cats have formed a support group for overcoming the oppression of fireworks.

(Still 1.5 hours until the new year here and they’ve been going off for almost three hours)

It's almost 2026, so for my final piece of the year, I picked New Year's resolutions for the direct market, sharing three things that could be done that MIGHT be able to help turn a (mostly) great 2025 into an even better 2026 for everyone involved.

The Pitt’s entire cast is elite, from Dr. Robby to the patients themselves. It’s honestly insane how good everyone is.

My latest at @icv2.com hit, as I talked with Joe Murray from @captainbluehen.bsky.social about his shop and the hits and misses he's had in his nearly 25 years of owning Captain Blue Hen. It was a real pleasure talking with Joe!

There's a thread on the ComicBooks Subreddit where someone asked single-issue comic readers why they stick with single issues, and the top response is amazing.

"Wednesday is the Christmas of every week."

Perfect answer. No notes.

Self-care can take many forms, like this morning when I blocked a clearly ComicsGate-adjacent individual from making any more jerk comments on Off Panel episodes.

It felt oh so good.
