Someone commented on an episode of Off Panel that they hate when I read the names of patrons in the outro, and my guy, I have good news for you: You don't have to listen to that part if you don't want! It's a very easy problem to solve!

Patrick Stewart will end up dying more as Charles Xavier onscreen than he died as King Claudius on stage in Hamlet.

World War Hulk came up in conversation today, which reminded me of one of my fave things I did on SKTCHD.

I paid a foley artist/sound designer who worked on Blade Runner 2049 (amongst other movies) to turn the insane "VJJJWOMMMVVVVVVB" sound effect from that series into a real sound. It's awesome!

Just recorded the first interview for another series of monthly chats with a single creator, and you know what? It was a blast. I can't wait to share it on SKTCHD in the next couple weeks.

I was very busy over the holidays, so in case you missed anything I wrote or podcasted about, here's a thread catching you up on all of it.
In case you were understandably distracted by events during the holiday vortex, I wanted to highlight some of my podcasts and articles from the past few weeks.

That includes handing out SKTCHD AWRDS to my favorite creators of 2025 and writing about what made their work so special.
The SKTCHD AWRDS: The Creators of 2025 - SKTCHD
The SKTCHD AWRDS are here. For those that are new to these parts, The SKTCHD AWRDS are a multi-week, multi-column effort where I celebrate the year that was in comics by handing out a bunch of complet...

My pal Patrick Brower returns to Off Panel for his annual visit to the show, as we talk about the year in comics retail, the influx of new readers, where non-Big Two comics are, sales charts, and a whole lot more. It's a good one! Listen up!
This week on Off Panel, retailer Patrick Brower of Chicago's @challengers.bsky.social returns for his annual visit to the podcast to talk about the year that was for his comic shop, what worked, Absolute heat, what didn't, Marvel's struggles, how he's feeling about 2026, and more.

God help me, I just booked my hotel for ComicsPRO. Looks like I'll be hanging in Glendale this year getting in the weeds of the comics business with everyone!

There are a lot of people reading my feature on Bone's time in Disney Adventures today, and if you like what you read, consider this your reminder that SKTCHD is entirely funded by subscribers. So, maybe consider subscribing to read more like it and to support the work that goes into it!

I was digging through some old things when I came across this American Vampire poster. @ssnyder1835.bsky.social sent it to me after I reviewed American Vampire #1, and signed/personalized it when he did. I always thought that was so nice, and it’s how he’s always been, which I really appreciate.

It was a big year on @sktchd.bsky.social, as my subscription comic site has grown dramatically since I went full-time. Also, I genuinely believe I put out some of my best + most varied work.

To highlight that, I wanted to share some of my favorite articles from the year as a showcase of that work.
