"The left is propagandizing the kids and making them think socialism and defunding the police is cool!"

Nah. They just grew up watching how unchecked corporate greed and unlimited LEO budgets stole their rights and resources and they're resoonding reasonably.

Alberta under Daniel Smith just used the notwithstanding clause (overriding the Constitution of the country) to deny trans children access to healthcare.

The takeaway IMO is aggro centrism is an astonishing historic disaster. Not only does it not work - it delivers very little for the public, doesn’t address core problems of the era and disillusions the public with democracy itself - but it actively aids the far right and prepares the way for fascism

A 20 year old woman in Minnesota was murdered at work by a coworker this week. Why? He didn't like the way she looked at him. And people are judging her gender presentation in an effort to justify her murder. America hates women. And children. It hates Black, Indigenous, Latine and Asian people too

The Nisqually Tribal Council said it was not aware of talks between a staffer and ICE about detaining immigrants. It has now rejected that notion.

When the obituaries are written for higher education in the West, significant space will be devoted to how they burned their universities to the ground to prop up a bloodthirsty genocidal regime on the other side of the world over their own students, faculty, staff and future generations.

Alice's death reminds me of this.

Support your disabled comrades. We tend to die without community support.

PS: @wylder.bsky.social is a dedicated, experienced organizer who needs urgent survival funds. Check them out, share, comment, donate if you can afford it.
Look up #Tinu. Big time fundraiser who DIED because we couldn't raise enough to get her out of Texas.

And by we, I mean an international network of activists with serious cumulative reach. Elon killed a lot of us by severely damaging that network.

We continue in her name.

One of the great heartbreaks of being in the disability community is how often we lose people and how many of our most powerful voices have gone silent. We must live our lives loudly and joyously in their honor and remember that our very existence is resistance.
Oh no I just heard we lost Alice. This is terribly sad. She was an incredible, talented, powerful voice of the disability community. She stood strong for herself and for all of us. She will be missed immensely.
‘Death remains my intimate shadow partner. It has been with me since birth, always hovering close by. I understand one day we will finally waltz together into the ether. I hope when that time comes, I die with the satisfaction of a life well-lived, unapologetic, joyful, & full of love.’
