After years of playing #beyondthesun, we finally attempted the advanced factions. It’s true that this module is not precisely balanced, but what it offers is a more rewarding chain of actions. Perhaps a bit too linear in this beautifully rhizomatic decision space, but still a welcome variant!

Our holiday ritual continues: yesterday we played Judean Hammer (@catastrophegames.bsky.social), a guerrilla war game depicting an insurgent zealotry taking on an imperial state power.
