Yesterday, striking baristas took action at Starbucks’ biggest distribution center that serves the entire east coast.
Today, union stores in 25+ MORE cities are joining our national, open-ended ULP strike!

3 years ago today, Riot Games offered me a job making more money than I ever thought I’d make in my life. I had 19 interviews over 2.5 months to get it. Partner and I were moving to LA for it. I put in notice at my job and apartment.
2 weeks later they rescinded the offer due to “headcount issues”.

I went to meet the 'Rockstar 31', the developers who were suddenly fired from their work on GTA 6 for what the studio has described as gross misconduct.

Not that anyone making this decision will have to actually deal with the consequences, but this will be disastrous for their QA department. Anything above the most menial tasks requires you to understand intent, something AI is famously bad at
So not only is Square Enix going to try to replace 70% of its QA with AI, it's also apparently laying off at least 100 people (possibly significantly more) as it continues to consolidate its operations further and further:
