Anyone who knows ANYTHING about how research and scientists work knows this is not only insane but will bury American innovation and science.
I missed the part about this being retroactive. My lord this is bananas.

Yes there's a lot of denial, but I've seen it: when it snaps, it snaps hard.
"Powerful men covered up child sex abuse" isn't outlandish when you've seen that happen in church, boy scouts, school athletics, and every other social pillar of your conservative middle-class life in the past few decades.

The official question here is narrow and procedural, but GEO is using it as a vehicle to ask for something much bigger. It effectively wants federal contractors to have the same degree of immunity as the government itself.

Senate Democrats really don’t realize they’ve just fallen into a damned trap?? Really? Once this deal is passed, Republicans have ALL the cards and no incentive to do a DAMNED thing cause if they fail to fund ACA, the people who NOW get blamed are… the Democrats who caved and trusted GOP liars.

This is really good to see: Miki Sherrill just put out a statement sharply criticizing the Senate Dems' pending cave in the government shutdown, ripping it as "malpractice" and a betrayal of the people who are "counting on us to fight for them." Sherrill knows what drove her victory. Wake up, Dems.

A family friend was telling us about what her husband shared about his experience in Broadview before he was deported back to Mexico. She's been sharing to friends and family because she's just in disbelief & horror what her husband told her. She wasn't able to talk to him until he was in Mexico.

The fundamental problem with DHS's efforts to position its officers as the victims in every story is that we have eyes and ears.
Multiple accounts on ICE Watch Facebook pages are reporting that agents pulled a couple out of their vehicle in Aurora, Illinois, arrested them, and then abandoned the couple’s toddler in the backseat.
