The attorney general and the FBI director, a manosphere podcaster bro, pulled into the situation room a member of Congress best known for getting kicked out of a Beetlejuice musical for drunkenly giving her date a handy, in order to pressure her about the president's child sex trafficking scandal.

The Kremlin disguised a nearly $100 mn payment to Trump in the form of a brokered real estate deal... and both Jeffrey Epstein and William Pulte were involved in the deal. That's very interesting.

At the end of the day, I don't believe a GOP led by the Fuentes faction can win elections. And if I'm wrong about that, then America deserves to be destroyed.
For all the leftist, liberal and moderate conservative schadenfreude over Trump's current predicament in the face of the Epstein files, a loss of control among the older generation of MAGA bosses opens up the Republican Party to a full hostile takeover by its Fuentes faction

There were literally congressional hearings where whistleblowers in the insurance industry cried while discussing being forced by superiors to repeatedly illegally deny payment for lifesaving care in the run up to the passage of the ACA. That’s what republicans want us to return to.
Tom Emmer: "You're gonna have to create high risk pools again. Just go back where Minnesota was before the ACA."

Star Wars slasher would be great, either normals vs one force user or a bunch of force users vs a bigger, badder force user
ironically what makes star wars stuff best is when it is 'something else, but also star wars'

e.g. Andor, a British political thriller but also Star Wars
the Mandalorian, an episode-of-the-week Western but also Star Wars (when it was good)

i don’t think the main problem with the american church is “too many of them refuse to be scammed by a lady who is obviously lying.”
There is a lady on TikTok pretending to have a baby that has gone without formula all night — she is calling churches around the country to ask if they can help.

Some of them are really embarrassing themselves. Especially the mega-churches.

I don't think people fully realize how brutal a vise Republicans are in now. If they cave tomorrow Democrats get all the credit for giving people healthcare. If they somehow bypass the filibuster they get a year plus of headlines about ripping people's healthcare away.
"Republicans are keeping the government closed, starving kids, and making you miss your Thanksgiving flights because they want your healthcare costs to go through the roof" is actually a pretty effective message for Democrats

Seen some contrarians say that Zohran should visit Israel and meet with "left wing Israeli Jews who share his vision" (who?) but do these people realize that Mamdani wouldn't be allowed into the country or the occupied territories in the first place?

No one remembers the Tlaib and Omar issue?

so much of axios/politico reporting on the shutdown is Republicans running to them saying "democrats are going to make a deal any deal now" and then when you ask to see the deal, it's non-existent

I realistically think that the current problem with the right is the whole NPC thing. They truly, earnestly believe that only RW uber males (lmao) have agency, and everyone else is just a muppet or something.

It makes the ugly realization that "Actually no, I can oppose you." even more jarring
